What this site collects, which is close to nothing, and what happens to it.
The short version
softwareguides.reviews has no accounts, no logins and no newsletter. We do not set advertising cookies and we do not sell or share personal data.
Analytics
This site runs on WordPress.com, which records aggregate visitor statistics: pages viewed, referring sites, countries, and coarse device and browser types. We use that to see which guides people read. We cannot identify you from it.
Server logs
Our host records standard request logs, including IP address, for security and abuse prevention. These are retained by the host for a limited period and are not used for advertising or personalisation.
Comments
If commenting is enabled on a guide and you leave one, the name, email address and text you submit are stored so the comment can be displayed and moderated. Write to us if you want a comment removed.
Outbound links
Guides link to vendor websites. Once you follow a link you are on someone else’s site under someone else’s privacy policy.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data held about you. Since we hold almost none, in practice there is little to produce or erase. If you believe otherwise, write to us and we will look.
Children
This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from them.
